September Member Updates 2025
Happy September!
Fleetwood wins the FedEx Cup, the Ryder Cup teams are announced, our club champions are crowned, and it’s ever so slowly cooling off. And… Golf at both of our clubs rolls onward.
In addition to an amazing time of year to play golf in Maine, a ton is still going on here.
From a gratitude perspective, our crew continues to make great progress on clearing rock walls with that sexy Bobcat mini excavator and their hard work. And they have worked hard to implement piping fixes and new pumping solutions. The team has been aerating and doing what they can to keep the future of the turf health as best as possible. All this work has been happening while much of our crew goes back to school. Huge thanks to them for keeping our greens as amazing as they are despite irrigation challenges in a crazy long drought. Look for us to finish the year strong.
Soon we’ll have the Foggy Meadows showdown. This year it’s held at The Meadows. Each of the first two years the home team has won. Will this year be different?
I try to show gratitude in each of these notes. This time I also want to insert an ask. If you could take a moment and share your best part of the year as a member or friend of Fogg Brook, we’ll make sure to keep doing what people like and enjoy.
We also want to share that we’re thrilled to be the home course for Nokomis HS and MS, Kennebec Valley Community College, and Colby club team. We’re equally proud of the money we’re able to help groups raise through golf tournaments and other events.
Humbly, we thank our members this year and trust you’ll consider renewing your membership. (Keep your eye on your inbox for sale links this week!) For other friends of the club, we hope you consider membership and join our Foggy Fun and Friends team. And even if you don’t become a member, we love having you with our team.
And a great day isn’t complete at Fogg Brook without a pub stop. Niky and team have been doing a superb job. We’re proud of their work and constant focus on our friends that visit us. Thanks Foggy’s team!
Continued enhancements and constant improvement is our continuous goal. Though we don’t always succeed, our vision and intent remains. Fogg Brook is a place for fun, food, and friends.
Oh, and reminder it’s wedding season so don’t hit anyone with a golf cart that’s dressed up. That would be awkward.
