Happy February,

This is our first monthly newsletter so thanks for reading!

Darrick and I just got back from the PGA show and owners’ conference in Orlando. As always, there a ton of exciting developments in golf course equipment, tools, management, etc. We’re always looking for ways to improve your experience at Fogg Brook, so here are a couple of the key takeaways we will be implementing soon.

  • Our tee sheet and green fees will be switching to dynamic pricing, the goal being the right price for the right golfer at the right time. Download our app for last minute deals and earn points toward further discounts.
  • A cancellation fee (non-members) or temporary reduction in tee making privileges (members) will be instituted for cancels within 24 hours. We’ve had a number of abuses with this privilege in the past, preventing others from playing.
  • We’re cutting back on the amount of apparel items we carry in-house. We will have some great things, but maybe not as large of a selection.
  • We’re investigating self check-in options. Maybe not this year but stay tuned.

OH! We can’t forget…next time you see Mark give him a pat on the back…He won Best Clubhouse in Maine!

The golf course has been doing well this winter and we’re looking forward to a few spring updates including working more on cart paths and drainage in general.

Big news for 2024! We have a golf trip planned! Last year, I took 35 members and friends of The Meadows to Ireland for a week of golf and sightseeing. This time, we’re going to SCOTLAND and staying in St. Andrews, Oct 27-Nov 3, 2024. For more information see me or write me. We have 28 spots total and 11 are already filled. Join us!

In the campground we’re gearing up for a great spring. We have hired some great new additions to the team to help in the camp store and more! We’re also looking at making further progress on the roads this year. Stay tuned!

And lastly, Foggy’s Pub is THE cool place to go. We have a bunch of activities from music on Saturday nights to trivia, comedy nights and more. Follow us on social media or come in and see what’s happening. Please note, our Valentine’s Day dinner is almost full so if you’re interested, call now. We’ve also opened for Sunday Brunch 9am – 2pm!
